Recently, we've been talking about how God answers our prayers. Sometimes we think prayer doesn't work because we don't immediately get what we want, or what we think we deserve. But there is good reason for this. God loves us as his children. Do you give your children everything they want?
Your child may desire a video game that is popular among his or her peers but you may decide to withhold that game because you know that it is too violent for your child. When you say "no" to your child, you are not ignoring his request. Instead, you are giving him a different answer than he expected because you know what is best. The Lord knows what is best for us and answers our prayers accordingly.
Do not give up on prayer. Share your desires with the Lord and ask that He answer your prayers according to his plan for you. Open your heart and mind to the power of prayer. You may find God gives you more than you could have ever imagined for yourself.
