Fall 2020 Study Opportunities
Kids and Families- We are presenting a whole new program for October and November this year focusing on the Fruits of the Spirit! What's that? Well, it will be centered on the 9 Fruits from the Book of Galatians: Love, Joy, Peace, Patience, Kindness, Goodness, Faithfulness, Gentleness, Self-control. This program will be co-taught each week by Paula Asch from Grace Church and Danielle Hayduchok from St. Martin's and will include crafts, games, legos, and other fun activities! We will also be making some Sunday School at Home (SSAH) bags for each child so they can participate and have fun along with us. Please join us and pick up your SSAH bags from Grace Church or St. Martin's by September 30th so we are all ready to go for October 4th. Ms. Danielle and Ms. Paula cannot wait to "see" you online! Lessons available weekly in the Virtual Chapel at stmartinslumberton.com.
Youth- This year may look different, but the junior high/ high school class still has big plans! All 6th-12th graders are welcome to join us on the first and third Sundays of the month at 7:00 p.m. for fun and fellowship. We will be using a combination of the Weaving God's Promises curriculum and current events discussions to grow in faith together. Classes will be held via Zoom until further notice. We hope you can join us! Begins October 4.
Adults- Our Baptismal Covenant asks, “Will you strive for justice and peace among all people, and respect the dignity of every human being?” Even though we respond, “I will, with God’s help,” it is much harder than it sounds. Additionally, political polarization and world crisis can create debate sounding what justice looks like and what role the church should place. In this five-session study Seeking Justice, join Deacon Kyle as we look at what scripture has to say about justice and hold honest conversation about how we can live out justice as disciples in this volatile world. Begins Wednesday, October 7 at 7 p.m. via Zoom. Sessions will be held on the first and third Wednesday of the month.
